We strictly raise Angus cattle due to their natural marbling qualities. All are free of hormone implants and they are raised in the beautiful Okanagan Valley located in British Columbia, Canada. They enjoy a diet of grass until they reach a desirable size at which point their diet matures. Then they are fed a proprietary blend of grains with a cow sized glass of red BC wine every day until production. A cow sized glass is well over a bottle of wine! Then the beef is aged for 30 - 40 days to achieve maximum flavour.
Sezmu cattle are some of the best-treated cattle in the world. We have large pens that are kept
dry, virtually no mud problems at all. Each animal has about 150 sq. feet which is very spacious. The handling of the animals is all low stress and the wine just enhances that. The beef ends up being more tender as there is very little reason to get nervous or stressed.
By the time the beef gets to you
it is exceptionally well marbled. It has a very distinct beef flavour,
improved colour, and longer shelf life than traditional beef. The
wine makes all the difference.
